Default Petition: Gwen Skills should stay in Gwen

Tonight, as I knew would happen, teams have already started with asking for GWEN skills in areas that are not GWEN. These skill take no skill to get, just C, spacebar.

GWEN skill need to stay in GWEN so the PVE teams stay balanced. There is no need for a Dijin in DOA. It was not designed for it. There is no need for a drunken skill in DOA, it was not designed for it.

I bought GWEN, hated it. I don't go in it for that reason. My options now are:

A: Senseless, time wasting, boring killing so I can get the skills to pug.

B: Play the game solo. I like teams and like the play that way.

c: Leave the game.

So, how about it? Can we leave the GWEN skill in GWEN?

Ok... first off having a djin in DoA is bad and any sencible group would kick a player for having it and second its an expansion its suppose to bring new life too all the campaigns not just be a stand along game and with what u r suggesting it will be. The only skills that i can see in the least bit over-powering is pain inverter and technobabble and even those arnt game breaking

This is a problem with PEOPLE and not the game. Do you want mesmers to be given a bonus of 400 HP just so people take them in a party in PvE?

No, we should change the whole game just because some people want you to bring certain skills. Why not Proph skills only work in proph, NF only in NF, Fact only in Fact?

Disagree, it's completely normal that a new chapter/expansion also changes the gameplay in all chapters. It has always been like that, if you desperately want the skill then you have to get it.

I'm actually looking forward to being able to do zones that were too hard for me before I got some of these GW:EotN skills.
P.S. DoA almost always sucked for getting into a PUG unless you were X and had X.
I have wasted way too much time trying to get a DoA pug with my mesmer in the past.

Just to echo what others said, this isn't a problem with the system itself but with some peoples mentality. I have yet to meet someone who request any of the GW:EN skills for a Tyrian/Canthan/Elonian mishy(and I've done a few for fun after GW:EN).

I think the point of the OP, for those of you too busy being sarcastic to actually understand what he is unhappy about, is that the new GW:EN skills are powerful enough that they make a difference in the other games, and are of course showing up on the elitist PUG radar for entry requirements.

Furthermore, those skills are tied to a gameplay mechanic that involves repeatedly stepping out into zones, talking to the NPCs that give the bonuses, and wiping the zone clean. Wash, rinse, repeat.

That is grind, folks.

There is another thread titled GWEN...new title GRIND!, that already has a debate on the lack of merit in grind.

Thanks!

Stay in Gwen? Umm.. I don’t understand why you would only want the Gwen skills to stay in Gwen? It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Don’t you think that’s your a bit selfish?

I myself like to play solo. I hate PUG sometimes due to other players being dickhead specially the one who doesn’t listen.

Playing DOA has not change. You are still required to use the skills PUG you need. Now if it was something similar to DOA PUG previous skill or better, then maybe it’s optional. Other than that required skills still has not change.

Also its one of the reason why I bought Gwen because of the new exciting skills you can use again factions and nightfall enemy.

If you can a skill somewhere it's okay. Nothing at all wrong with that!

PvE doesn't need to be balanded, the skills are PvE only for a reason.

No skill to make? Try to C, Spacebar in Polymock, mate.
You'll get a surprise.
PvP skills are the ones that need no skill to get.
You don't make master difficulty quests by C, Spacerbar.

1. Get infromation.
2. Think about that information.
3. Make suggestions.

You skipped 1 and 2 and went directly to 3.

New skills change the way people play the game, if they make something umbalanced later, they may change some aspects of that.
Just buy GW:EN and get those skills.

Default worst idea ever

if players bought the game then i see no reason why we would not use the skills in other games. The whole concept is to take on board those new skills and add new life to all the games. Making an expansion pack so that everything in the expansion is exclusive to the expasion i.e. skills is just stupid, no one would have bought the game if they couldnt use the skills outside of GW:EN. Just because somepeople want to try out new ideas in the gate of anguish dosent mean that we should nerf everything, thts a little extreme. I think your looking at it all wrong. People found a way to the gate of anguish one way with the skills from 3 games, now maybe things will get easier with the skills from the expansion. Dont kill something because you "dont like it" Think it through.
